As mentioned above when not working on the canvas the acrylic paint tends to be streaky by many users.

Water doesnt dry as quickly as these drying agents do therefore making acrylic paint ideal for color mixing. Once the acrylic paint dries the clear coat will bond just as it would with dry nail polish. This doesnt make nail polish ideal for mixing colors on a palette.
